The name of our website reflects our passion for the old mono 'silver gelatine' processes and for creating prints in a darkroom. So the images you will view here have come from a monochrome negative and have been printed by hand.
We are inspired to create prints by the beauty of the landscape, and the way man has exploited the landscape which is often to the detriment of the people who live and work there. Most of our photography is done in the dramatic landscapes of Devon and Cornwall, where we have been fortunate to live for over 30 years, but we also visit other places of natural beauty within the UK and Ireland looking for images.
Our aim is to capture images which are visually stimulating and often passed by. A variety of wet processes are used and the type of process required to achieve the desired result is decided at the taking stage.
We hope you will enjoy looking at our work and will return occasionally to view new images. Any feed-back you may wish to leave would be most welcome.
